Meeting Room 1 is my latest participatory drawing performances and the longest performance that I've embarked on to date. Commissioned by the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery, I have been painting these meetings one Saturday a month for twelve months with the project having commenced on September 5, 2015. Previous drawing performances have taken place at the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery, Australia’s National Portrait Gallery, the Museum of the Riverina in Wagga Wagga and Fraser Studios in Sydney.
Sitters who have booked an appointment are directed to the conveniently named Meeting Room 1, a meeting room so labelled in Wagga Wagga Council’s Civic Centre. Participants will meet their portrait partner and pose with them for their digital painting.
